The dungeon item here is the Light Arrows. These also have steam vents that will push him up higher and reset his helicopter time. Goron and Zora Link don’t really do anything new but Deku Link gets some helicopter obstacle courses. This one is a bit of a Final Exam Dungeon because Link will be using all his transformations here. Thus, the story doesn’t quite get a happy ending because both are aware that they’re about to die, they just resolve to face it together.įinally, the last dungeon. They exchange their masks and decide they’ll wait for the moon’s fall together. If you succeed, Kafei finally returns to Anju. If you mess up Kafei gets trapped in the lair and can only wait until the moon falls. Sakon only returns to his lair on the Final Day so the clock is ticking. You can meet up with Kafei there and work together (even controlling Kafei briefly) to get the mask back. Going through the events again leads Kafei to pursue the mask thief, Sakon, to Ikana Valley where Sakon has made his lair.
Anju doesn’t know where Kafei is but resolves to wait for him. Besides the moon, Kafei got turned into a child and his wedding mask (basically like a ring to them) got stolen. Quick recap: they were to have their wedding on the day after the Final Day. You can leave these on top of switches to keep them pressed down.īut before I proceeded to the final dungeon it was time to resolve this storyline. Use this in Link’s various forms to create up to four elegies. This song creates a solid elegy of Link’s current form. Beating them gets the king to teach you the song you need to enter and complete the final dungeon: the Elegy of Emptiness. When you get to the end of Ikana Castle you come across some squabbling guards and their liege. These ReDeads were apparently performers in life and if Link wears the Captain’s Mask they mistake him for the captain and perform for him. This short video has a snippet of the scene. ReDeads are infamous for the creepy scream when they stun Link and the unsettling way in which they…hurt Link. Ikana Castle has some ReDeads (zombies) in it, just like from OoT. Thus, he gives you the Captain’s Mask which causes the other Stalchildren to mistake you for their captain.Įven the Mirror Shield is creeped out by this game Beating him has him thank you for sending him to rest and he asks you to also put his men to rest. There is a giant one that you can awaken and fight.
